Dustan O. Neyland

Manhattan, New York City

Dustan O. Neyland is a criminal defense attorney who aggressively fights for the rights of his clients. Neyland is a partner and attorney at Greco Neyland, PC, which represents clients throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. He also represents those facing criminal charges throughout Texas.

Dustan chose to dedicate his life to defending clients against criminal charges after his experience as a prosecutor. The law demands a person is innocent until proven guilty, but that, unfortunately, is not how people facing criminal charges are treated. Dustan wants to help make sure their rights are represented.

In addition to representing clients in federal court, Dustan also represents people in a variety of criminal defense cases at the state level, including DWI, drug charges, white collar charges, terrorism charges and weapons offenses.

After graduating from Oklahoma University School of Law, he began his work in the legal field at a civil litigation law firm. There he learned how to uncover important facts in cases and develop strong, successful litigation strategies. Dustan also has experience as a prosecuting attorney where he handled a variety of misdemeanor and felony cases.

In addition to earning his juris doctor, Dustan has completed the Forensic Chromatography Course of the American Chemical Society. This hands-on course allowed him to get a better understanding of how crime labs work and how analysis mistakes can be made.

This knowledge and understanding of science can be used in legal cases, and he can use his experience to challenge prosecutors in the courtroom. He is able to identify errors in drug cases and challenge prosecutors using flimsy and unreliable scientific methods.

Dustan has received several awards for his work in the legal community, including being named among the Top 100 Criminal Defense Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers in 2013 and 2014. In addition, he is active in several organizations, such as the New York State Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
