ABOUT ME

I grew up in Camp Hill, PA whch is a great place to grow up. And being a kid of the 80's, I fell in love with all the geeky passions of that time: Dungeons & Dragons, Atari 2600, Star Wars, etc.

At age 12, my family moved to Doylestown, PA. It was a tough time for me as it is for any kid in middle school. Yet I found a home in music. It was here that I found life long friends and the stage was set for my social scene all the way into my college years.

Off to college, University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering. The problem solving and scientific skills I learned at Pitt would serve me well professionally. Socially, the marching band became my greatest outlet. The marching band is what turned my time at Pitt from good to great.

MY CAREER, THE BEGINNING

Having graduated from Pitt in 1995 with an Electrical Engineering degree, I obtained my first job with a software training company in Pittsburgh. It was the perfect environment for me to learn the fundamental skills that I use up to current day in my career.

I then traveled to Atlanta, GA where I further expanded my skills as a network administrator in a nationwide commerical real estate company. It was in this environment that I had my first exposure to networking on a large scale.

THE MIDDLE

An excellent opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA brought me back to my college town. I began work as a network engineer with IKON Technology Services. Here is where I found my true calling. I loved working with customers. I loved the different challenges presented to me daily. It was at this job that I truly grew as a professional.

IKON Technology Services was dissolved and I was rolled into IKON Professional Services. It was here I learned an entirely new skill set still in IT. I learned how to analyze customer workflows and apply technology to optimize those workflows. Again, the experiences and the growth in my skills were invaluable.

AND CURRENTLY

My time at IKON had run its course and after 10 years, I started a new venture. I have come back to my roots in the IT industry. In my current position with Personalized IT Solutions I focus strongly on implementing Microsoft technology solutions for our customers. It is in this position that I have the freedom and flexibility to work closely with customers, to uncover their challenges, and develop a technology-based solution to solve that challenge.
