Dustin Wilson

Dustin Wilson is a Marine (once and always) and Retired Coast Guardsman. During his four years as a Marine Musician he performed at various venues in Southern California and Virginia. He transitioned from the Marines to the US Coast Guard and became an Engineer, managing and fixing various engineering plants both on shore and on Coast Guard Cutters. Dustin was a trained Hazardous Materials Response Supervisor and Commercial Driver for a highly deployed, fast response unit. While there he participated in and managed numerous high profile Hazardous Material Responses on the Eastern side of the United States. Dustin received numerous certifications through private sector and government training entities and received awards for his performance. After a two year stint on a small US Coast Guard Cutter, Dustin was selected to become an instructor of Diesel Engines Operations and Repair at the Machinery Technician School in Yorktown, Virginia. During his tenure there he taught over 1000 students and acted as a class advisor for many classes. During that time he also helped guide the development of curriculum and training aides for a new course based on fast response boat. Dustin retired from the Coast Guard after his teaching tenure and is now pursuing certifications for Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Server 2008 R2, Microsoft SQL Server, and Cisco Certified Network Associate. Dustin is also a self-trained photographer and Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom user. He currently resides in Flemington, NJ with his wife, children, and two shedding Labradors.
