Duygu Argın

I formed my first band with my highschool friends back in Golcuk Anadolu Lisesi in 1997. Whilst studying Business Administration at Istanbul University, I also attended part-time opera singing and theory courses at Pera Güzel Sanatlar between 1998 - 2000, and at Akademi Istanbul between 2000 - 2002.

I lived in London between 2005 - 2013, where I discovered American Jazz Standards and performed at a few open mic gigs and jam sessions. I was introduced to Neşet Ruacan in 2006 during one of my visits to Istanbul, and we performed together once a year from then on during my annual Istanbul visits, until I returned to Istanbul in 2013. Since then, I have been a guest singer at Neşet Ruacan’s Trio gigs on many occasions.
