I am a crochet designer currently living in Exeter, United Kingdom.

My most popular crochet pattern is Sophie's Universe, a large continuous square blanket aimed at adventurous beginners. Although complex, the pattern has been broken down into 18 in-depth photo tutorials with step-by-step instructions. It has also recently been published as a step-by-step book.

I am passionate about crochet and about teaching people more about this wonderful art form. I want people to realize that every pattern is ‘just a bunch of stitches’, no matter how daunting or complex, and once they learn to analyze their work, understand their stitches, and fix their mistakes, they can attempt anything!

With this in mind, I aim to write all my patterns as if they were 'learning journeys' rather than just instructions for creating a single item.
