Daniel J. Vukelich, Esq. is the President of the Association of Medical Device Reprocessors (AMDR), or the global trade association representing third-party companies engaged in medical device reprocessing (cleaning, repair/refurbishing, testing, sterilization, among other steps.) for hospitals. Today, AMDR's members reprocess for a majority of U.S. hospitals including most of the honor roll hospitals as listed by U.S. News & World Report. As hospitals look to do more with less, and reduce their environmental impact, medical device reprocessing has been seen as one of the most impactful sustainability initiatives a hospital can implement.
Mr. Vukelich has been with AMDR since 2000. In addition to representing the reprocessing industry in the U.S., Mr. Vukelich also represents the industry before state regulatory agencies, the European Commission, Council and Parliament, Health Canada, and other international bodies.
Mr. Vukelich is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) through the American Society of Association Executives. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from the American University’s Washington College of Law and his B.A. in Political Science and Public Communication with Pi Sigma Alpha honors, also from the American University in Washington, DC. Mr. Vukelich, a native of Minneapolis, is a former National Debate champion (1996) and a member of the Florida and District of Columbia Bars.
