Dwight Lopez

Student, Musician, and Small Business Owner in Manila

Trained as a classical violinist, I started by arranging classic Filipino tunes for string ensembles. Later I also turned to composing original material.

I was frustrated when I was beginning since the built in sounds on notation software was unsatisfactory. I also didn't have the budget for my music to be performed and come to life.

Like many musicians, I turned towards music technology - used the best of the best sample libraries the industry had to offer for my music to sound as organic as possible.

However, I once again hit a wall when I incorporated my country's native instruments. Even the biggest sample companies in the world had no offerings. Later, I found that many other composers had a similar problem.

I saw this as something that I could solve so I decided to establish my own sampling company - OMSIM AUDIO.

Focused on native and indigenous sounds, I along with OMSIM AUDIO is dedicated to building the tools that composers who are looking for exotic sounds will ever need.
