David Malone is the Deputy Head of Technology for Francisco Unified School District. He also co-authored the Explain Everything User Manual with the app’s developer, Reshan Richards. David graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and has a Master of Science Degree in Education: Educational Technology Leadership from Cal State University, East Bay. He is an Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Innovator, Google Certified Administrator, Microsoft Innovative Educator, and New Media Consortium K-12 Ambassador who presents at regional, state, and national EdTech conferences. In a life before teaching, he worked in motion picture advertising and attended culinary school. When he’s not working with students and teachers or spending time with his two young daughters, he’s exploring technologies and connecting with other passionate, forward-thinking educators.
