Hey Llyod,

I decided to do my journal entry on my observations and thoughts of modern technology in the classroom by using modern technology. Hilarious isn't it. Any way I find it absolutely incredible how much access to information todays youth has with modern technology. I realize how things have changed since I was in grade 8, all the kids have phones and easy access to a computer. I think this is a really good thing to utilize. I attended a PD session on incorporation of the video game "minecraft" into class lessons to gain more information about how and why to use technology to enhance learning. I am interested very much of the incorpartion of modern technology into education considering it has become so intertwined with todays world. I think I understand its use to be used as a tool like any other technology ( a white board, chalk) use it when applicable and practical to engage learners. I am hoping to create a history lesson using modern technology before the end of winter term. For example have the children create an about.me page on a famous historical person/activist. I will keep you posted.
