A strategic communication professional and brand ninja with agency, corporate, and political PR experience. An unquenchable enthusiasm for life and teaching - making connections and continuously learning are what keeps me charged and successful.

My specific fields of interest include nonverbal communication, media relations/public relations, public speaking, and social media. Other specialties include: emerging technology in communication, media tours/promotion, campaign development, and crisis management.

Beyond my primary passion in teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, I am a subject matter expert for KSDK News Channel 5, write for PR Daily, research in the area of nonverbal communication/digital and consults for businesses and organizations when available. I recently won the 2016 St. Louis Business Journal’s 30 Under 30 Award, Maryville University’s 2016 President’s Award for Innovation, 2017 Anna Moudy Excellence in Teaching Award and 2017 Apple Distinguished Educator.
