Daniel Zarrilli

Appointed in June 2013 to serve as the City's first Director of Resiliency, leading the implementation of PlaNYC: A Stronger, More Resilient New York. Authored Chapter 3 - Coastal Protection as part of the Special Initiative for Rebuilding and Resiliency.

Previously employed at the New York City Economic Development Corporation since 2004, holding positions relating to engineering, construction, leasing, maintenance and operations on NYCEDC's assets.

Responsible since February 2010 for profit/loss, including all leasing, operations and construction, across a diverse portfolio of maritime and market assets in New York City, including cargo terminals, cruise terminals, heliports, ferry landings, airports, stadiums, wholesale and retail food markets and other industrial, maritime and rail facilities.

Prior to 2004, Daniel worked for Bechtel Infrastructure Corporation for 5 years and holds an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from MIT and a BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.
