Hello everyone!

My name is Ester, and I am a 23 years old student living and studying in Heidelberg, Germany. At the PH Heidelberg I am studying English, Geography and Arts to become a Secondary School teacher.

I have always been sure about the fact that I want to work with children in the future. Last semester I spent almost six months in the UK, where I did my teaching practice at a school in an absolutely beautiful sea-side town, called Tenby, which is located in the South of Wales. After three months of teaching I decided to extend my stay for another two months. I travelled from Brighton, London to Liverpool and Manchester before I ended up in Sheffield, where I was doing a thing called 'Wwoofing' on an Organic Farm. Maybe you’ve heard of it before, but is way more common to do things like that in Australia or Canada. I was working on this farm, without being paid for it, but your host provides food and accommodation. Then I made my way up North and spent two weeks in Edinburgh, which is definitely one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to. The last week of my stay I spent in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. I had such a great time abroad and during that time I met so many lovely people, which made this an experience I definitely do not want to miss.

In my free time I love to read, to draw and I do a lot of cooking, too. As I do not like German food at all, I often cook as international as possible. My all time favorite is the Korean dish, called ‚Bibimbap’

Just as most of the other students I really do love to travel or just visit my family. Our family is a mixture of everything. My grandma was born and raised in Hungary, she came to Germany when she was about sixteen years old. Another part of my family lives in France, others in Ireland, and the rest is spread all over Germany. This is probably the reason I really enjoy meeting people from all over the world and getting to know new cultures.

This being said, I am really excited about our telecollaboration project and I am looking forward to getting in touch with you!

All the best, Ester
