Hi, thanks for visiting! I’m Emerson Rodrigo Almeida, a Geophysicist with MSc and PhD by University of São Paulo. In my career I have been working with Applied Geophysics (mostly Electromagnetic and Electric methods) for environmental studies, civil engineering, archaeology, geological studyes, hydrogeology and forensics. I was awarded as prominent student in 2009 by the Brazilian Geophysical Society. I also have experience developing my previous activities with researchers from Portugal and Italy, and I am currently developing a project with researchers from the UK. In the last four years I also worked as a lecturer in short courses about Ground Penetrating Radar for geophysicists and geologists, a graduate course about the basics of Geophysics (Seismology and Potential Methods) for middle and high school teachers and a post-graduate course about Geophysics for environmental engineers. I'm currently attending to a distance course for a Physics teacher degree in order to improve my teaching skills.
