Hi Everyone! My name is Yancey Murray and I lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a whole summer. During my time in Wyoming I lived and worked on a ranch called Moose Head Ranch with nineteen other crew members. Moose Head is a place for families to come stay and experience the true beauty Wyoming has to offer. My jobs on the ranch were a cabin girl and a prep chef. As a cabin girl I cleaned guests cabins and served the guests their meals. As a prep chef I would prepare meals with the chefs for the day. However, baking was my favorite aspect of being a prep chef. I guess I could say it was my forte. From cheesecakes to cookies to lemon squares and cakes I really did it all. Although it was the hardest I have ever worked I was able to do it with nineteen of my best friends. There was nothing more breathtaking and beautiful than waking up at 5:45am and seeing the sunrise above the Teton Mountains. Yes, I said 5:45am! Although the work was always challenging and demanding there was nothing more that I cherished than my day off. On our Friday’s off Katie (pictured left), Tillman, Morgan and I would always have an adventure planned. We would tube in the nearby lakes just below the Teton Mountain Range or go ATV’ing in the Grand Teton National Park or go white water rafting on the Snake River. We also did plenty of horseback riding on the ranch and the crew was always up for driving into town to enjoy the Jackson Hole night life. If anyone ever has the chance to spend a summer or even just a week in Wyoming my advice would be, you would be crazy not too!!
