E. Devearl penned his first book at the young age of 11 yrs. old, for his elementary school’s writing contest, it was a children story called “The Mystery of the Green Lantern Ghost”. Though he had always had a vivid imagination, writing this book opened up the creative side in him, which by the way he won an award for. Being young and adventurous, and being raised by his single parent mother, he and his older brother were always encouraged to try everything that interested them, so by the time he had graduated from high school he had been involved with and participated in scholastic Wrestling, Track, Football and Kung Fu martial arts. After graduating and having a short stint in College, E. Devearl joined the United States Air Force and then afterwards the Cleveland Police Department where he lived.

During then he was introduced into the music industry where he fell in love with the business. Now the C.E.O. of BlaqueRoc Music Group, an artist/Label management company, he realized after years of watching his artist follow their dreams he decided to finally pursue his own. The passion of writing was never distinguished and the time was right, with his travels in the military and experiences on the police force and in the music industry along with his own family’s history stemming from Ascension Parish, Louisiana one hour west of New Orleans, the birth of his first full novel was born. “Vodun”, a Horror, Suspense thriller that is full of fictional and non-fictional action and suspense. E. Devearl signed with LFF Publishing and "Vodun" is slated to have a publish date in mid 2015.
