AKO works as a Project Manager for an International NGO in Côte d’Ivoire. Prior to this position, AKO served as the Managing Director of an Award-winning Community Radio Station in Abidjan.

AKO is an alumnus of President Obama’s flagship program, Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Initiative. As part of this program, he attended a Civic Leadership Institute at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey from in 2015 and completed a Professional Practicum at the Media Foundation for West Africa in 2016.

AKO is interested in Conflict Transformation, post-conflict reconstruction, education, youth empowerment, protection, community stability and development, media and sustainable development.

AKO has an extensive experience in reporting, capacity-building, staff supervision, Translating, Interpreting and blogging in both French and English.
