Eamonn Morris
Boulder, Colorado
Eamonn Morris is a straight man who had no other choice but to check the "white" box on the 2010 US Census. He lives in Boulder, CO, an incorporated town that exists. There might have been Native Americans here once but they left. It was probably the other white people's fault.
Anyway, Eamonn has avoided the school-to-prison pipeline because he goes to school and is not in prison. It would have taken him a felony to get him into prison while in school, but Eamonn has never committed a felony.
Yes, Eamonn goes to college like a regular person, and has learned during his formal education that a minimum of jargon and avoidance of nonexistent words like "invisibleizing" help to keep your online bios clear and concise. Eamonn has cofounded a couple of jazz groups that he plays in, mostly composed of white people because that's who's around.
Eamonn doesn't participate in much social-justice work, probably because he likes to keep his mouth shut and mind his own goddamned business. He talks about his mental health stuff sometimes but only when he thinks it's important, and never wants to talk about it like he's some kind of authority because A.) He's not a trained psychiatrist and B.) He doesn't want to look like a prick (take notes, kids.)
Eamonn uses the pronoun "he" to describe himself, becaues he is a man. If he were to use "she," "we," or particularly "they," this would be considered inappropriate usage. Eamonn works with whoever he damn well pleases because he needs money and things to do. He doesn't work to amplify the voices of indigenous peoples, because they would get mad at him if he did.
Eamonn's forthcoming book is titled "Get Off Your High Horse," and will be auctioning at Sotheby's this May starting at $450,000.
