Edward A. Regensburg MA, ATR-BC, CHT, LCAT is the first established authority regarding the intersection of ART, HEALING and TRANSFORMATION. Ed has published dozens of articles in print and online publications, and has been interviewed frequently on television and radio. His insights regarding the transformative creative healing process have been invaluable to the fields of psychology, fine art, spirituality, and communications.

Ed has been a practicing Art Psychotherapist for over thirty years, helping change lives in multiple settings, including North Shore University Hospital in medical and psychiatric units and New York State Children’s Services, where he began the process of developing the most effective and dynamic tools for helping children with special needs. In 1992, Ed established the first Wellness Education and Treatment through the Arts Program in Great Neck, New York. Ed served as the Executive Director at the North Shore Creative Rehabilitation Center for over fifteen years. At NSCRC, he led a talented team of creative and clinical professionals to produce extraordinary treatment results for those suffering with mental illness. He was able to publish groundbreaking outcome studies as well as protocols for practitioners in medical, psychiatric and educational settings.

On Long Island, Ed has been a influential leader in the field of Art Therapy, particularly in the integration of traditional Psychotherapy and Expressive Theory. He co-developed the graduate program of Clinical Art Therapy for LIU-C.W. Post College. Ed was a Professor of Art Therapy at Post for ten years and continues to be integral to intern training throughout the tri-state region. Ed has consulted with numerous agencies on building Art Therapy programs and bringing his wellness model to both clinical and corporate settings.

He is a popular speaker and often lectures on the power of art in the healing process.

Ed has also been drafted by the marketing industry to develop focus groups. Utilizing art experiences, Ed has been able to tap into unconscious processes to hone essential insights. These insights have been a key component of several successful high-profile marketing campaigns.
