Michelle María Early Capistrán

Soy antropóloga social por formación, pero las corrientes del Pacífico septentrional me llevaron a las Ciencias Marinas. En la actualidad curso el Posgrado en Ciencias del Mar y Limnología en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México y me dedico a la investigación histórica de la pesquería de tortugas marinas en Baja California.

I am a cultural anthropologist by training, but the currents of the North Pacific led me to marine biology. I received a graduate degree in Ocean Sciences and Limnology at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and research long-term human interactions with marine ecosystems by integrating ethnographic fieldwork, archival research and statistical analysis. I am author of the book Voces del Oleaje: ecología política de las tortugas marinas en la costa de Oaxaca.
