Earnest was born a poor black child in Chicago Il. Shortly thereafter he bounced around Kentucky (where he was featured in the local paper for playing with hand puppets) and Tennessee (where he lived in a parsonage across the street from a graveyard) until he finally hung his hat in Houston Texas. Consequently, none of his exes live there.

In high school, Earnest joined the drama club where he served as stage manager and sound tech. He also worked at Six Flags Astroworld in the Entertainment Department as everything from a singing cowboy to a popular carton rabbit.

At the University of Evansville in Evansville IN, Earnest Earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Design and Technology by participating in a myriad of productions including a musical about Jack the Ripper that took place on a spinning whorehouse. During his career at UE, Earnest served as sound designer and audio engineer for The Effects of Gamma-Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds and Brighton Beach Memoirs. He then completed two lighting designs, which promptly drove him from Theatre.

After completing his graduate work in Visual and Media Arts, and about 10 years in educational technology support, Earnest began working with longtime friends to promote mental health and suicide prevention online. You can follow these heroic efforts at http://www.emotiontechnology.com.

More recently, he has started working as a disc jockey for private events in central Texas. He is sometimes also unknown as playerOne.
