Water Softener Guide

This is our second one purchased. It does not seem to be able to sustain the water pressure in our home.

This Mulligan Faucet Filter was extremely easy to use and install! We had been purchasing the Jugs of water for the office. We chose to change to our in faucet filter.

I've used the PUR faucet mounted water filter for several years.

This time, I decided to try a new filter. The Culligan FM15A is heads and shoulders above the PUR filter.

It does seem to filter out a

lot of the "stuff" in tap water, and the filtering process definitely makes the water look clear, but again, the taste is not winning me over at all.

This filter IMO does not affect the texture of the water in anyway, the water is still as hard as ever! Even though I'm well aware that the most effective treatment for hard water is water softener, I still expected a little bit of improvement in the water texture with this filter. Water pressure is also very good, hence my reason for giving this product two stars.

It got clogged after only about two weeks of use and one of the same model and brand we had before it worked for 6 months.

I bought this in hopes of having a better quality of water. It was easy to install, but the water softener guide quality was almost the same. I won't be buying this again.

The unit is made of dense and sturdy plastic, and can handle the interior water pressure generated as water moves through the filter. I like the metal faucet mount as it is sturdy and maintains an aerated water flow of the un-filtered water for washing dishes.
