Esther has a BA in Clinical Psychology from her native Paraguay, and began the Program in Sacred Scriptures at ISEDET Seminary in Argentina, later to transfer to Chicago Theological Seminary to finish her MDiv. In 2012 she won the Gilberto Castañeda Scholarship, which honors outstanding LGBTQ students at CTS. Esther's focus is theological-based liberation from multi-leyer oppressions at intersections of race, class and gender, as a Latina woman living in the US. She maintains strong connections with LGBTQ religious groups and grass-root associations in Latin-America, allowing her to have a close understanding of the multicultural realities of those queer communities.
