- Having a student tell me that I am the reason they want to be a scientist
- Sitting in front of a waterfall in Cloudland Canyon State Park with friends from UGA after a 9 mile hike
- Eating a turnip from UGArden that I had nurtured from planting to harvest
- Hearing my niece say "Do I have to go to bed? I want to keep reading with Aunt 'Lizbeth."
- Successfully completing an unofficial duathlon
- Having a cappuccino served to me in Florence, Italy with the words "Sit. You must slow down and enjoy."
- Opening matching pajamas with my sisters every Christmas Eve, even if we're hundreds of miles apart
- Having thirty friends scattered around my fireplace and sharing what they're grateful for during a massive Thanksgiving potluck
- Self-publishing a novella
- Being constantly surrounded by a group of people that loves me, nurtures me, and is not afraid to challenge me
