Eboneé Said

New York, New York

Yo my name is Eboneé Said I’m from Mitchellville, MD. For those of you wondering, where the heck is that, it’s about 15 minutes outside of Washington DC. I’m a recording Artist, emcee, songwriter and I produce. Before telling you some of the exciting things I’ve experienced and collaboration with talented Artist from all over I’ll begin with, how I got started. Being a pastor’s kid I always had to sneak to listen to Hip-hop, Funk, Neosoul, practically anything that didn’t have God in it. Collecting albums, and recording over sermons on cassette tapes had grew from just a hobby to my love. I wrote my first poem at the age of 14 when my grandmother passed. I wrote a few more, then a bit more, and begun performing my favorite 3 poems all throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area. Winning the Washington Wizards poetry slam, and meeting the director at Powell House Project. A non-profit organization that was a youth summer program in DC. I was hired there to teach youth how to write poetry and in exchange they taught me how to put my poetry to a beat. Taking me to the ASSALAH convention, District of Columbia Mayor Fenty’s Youth Expo, internships at local radio stations, oversees in countries such as Senegal and Morocco Africa, being a special guest at high schools you name it I’ve done it. Becoming a student of the art, I decided to learn the business. Currently in school for my Bachelors in Music Business. While in college I met a group of like-minded people from cities across the nation, forming a Music Group, Clergy Sounds. I never thought my collection of music would be this large, and never thought music would bring me this far. I’ve been blessed to collaborate with Artist such as Black Cobain, from Wale’s Board of Administration and Oobergeek. Opening for Warner Brother’s Theophilus London and Venus X. Recording with Grammy-nominated and Billboard Award recipient Dmoet. Currently I’m in the studio working hard on my third project Rebirth Of Queen set to release November 22, 2012. And submitting my music and bio to festivals to reach the masses in 2013.
