Ebrar is a young Muslim woman, graduated from Bogazici University by completing a dual degree in Political Science and History. Starting from her childhood she is in pursuit of knowledge, where available. Therefore she is avid to read, observe and ask various questions which turned her into an aspiring social scientist.

As a political scientist candidate, her stance in political philosophy is mainly determined by the views of 2 political thinkers, however in the opposite direction. While Thomas Hobbes defends the idea of "homo homini lupus", namely man is a wolf to man; she believes a man is a home to the man as well. In other words, as the old Latin saying goes “homo homini patria". Regarding this, she believes this world is not just a conflict-driven place, and most of the things flow in mutual assistance. Additionally, as opposed to Macchiavelli, she thinks the end doesn't justify the means. The path we walk on is as important as the destination itself. Meanwhile, looking at the world with a historian's eyes; she tries to perceive today together with yesterday and tomorrow. Therefore, while she is not one to keep up with daily political events, she enjoys tracking the changes in the Longue durée.

In her way towards knowledge, she loves to talk with people, share ideas and emotions and learn from their experiences. She realized; if one knows how to read, a person could be as instructive as a book, if not more. So, while she could never manage to be a decent social media user, she can speak with a stranger for hours. In the remaining time from reading and speaking, she tries to write, to transcribe her memory. In addition to graduate-level academic papers, she writes about daily life, her mindset, and the challenges that an ordinary young person could face. Her essays were published in several blogs and a campus magazine which she was on its editorial board. Also, she has become a part of various voluntary programs such as setting and organizing weekly reading groups, arranging seminars in and outside the school, and mentoring high school students. Besides, she is interested in nature photography especially photographing the flowers and the sky which are among the things she is an enthusiast of. She is also an enthusiast of poetry while being skeptical of the sincerity of poems.

Last but not least, an important thing that she learned so far: if one cannot solve his problem with death, the remaining will eventually become meaningless.
