Emily Brown

Passions: Sports, helping others.

I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in December 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

I realized I was interested in journalism as a kid watching NASCAR races on T.V. with my dad. My curiosity to speak with the drivers about the race ignited a fire in me to be that reporter interviewing each driver and finding the stories.

As a current freelance journalist, I have experience writing and copy editing for RedEye Chicago and as an assistant director for ESPN3 broadcasts at Loyola University Chicago, My internship experiences include time at RedEye Chicago, WGN-TV Sports, 22nd Century Media (newspaper group in Chicago suburbs) and Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

My skills include producing and editing packages, interviewing, reporting, copy editing and various social media forums.
