Earvin Charles Cabalquinto

Hello, I’m Dr Earvin Charles Cabalquinto. You can call me ‘Earvin’. I am a Lecturer in Communication (Digital Media) at Deakin University in Australia. I am very passionate in leveraging research to generate insights and produce compelling, impactful and creative outputs to support communities and stakeholders.

I have more than eight years of professional media experiences. Before becoming an academic, I worked in television production, advertising, corporate branding, and events management. Currently, I am the Social Media Editor of the Asian Journal of Communication. I also sit in the editorial board of the International Journal of Communication. I am also connected to various migrant organisations in Victoria, Australia, developing and implementing engaging projects that support diverse needs and address social issues.

I am a scholar with a national and international reputation. I have also been invited to various speaking engagements, in Australia and overseas. I have held visiting fellowships in the United Kingdom and in Finland. These engagements demonstrate my passion for developing and sharing knowledge among individuals, groups and institutions.

I believe that each and everyone has unique and hidden abilities. It only takes believing in oneself, perseverance and tenacity for such incredible talents and capabilities to be fully realised. My goal is to mentor and inspire individuals to realise and maximise their full potential through critical and creative works.
