I have always been a big fan of pizza, music, and movies. Little Italy Pizzeria is the best place, in my experience, that can include all three. I like to go between the hours of 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. on any given night and strike up a conversation with someone about music or movies while I enjoy my pizza. I have had an hour long conversation about the history of heavy metal music and underrated bands with a Polish PhD student and a lab director while I was wearing a dirndl. Another time, a graduate student gave me advice about choosing a major and we talked about having to go to meetings at the Office of Student Conduct. She is getting her master’s in French music, or something along those lines. I’m not exactly sure. She also gave me the location of her office, so I could pop in and ask if I really wanted to. Another notable conversation I have had was with two unique looking dudes. One was dressed as Captain Spaulding, the clown in the movie House of 1000 Corpses, and the other had more piercings than I do with a tattoo on his neck reading “Big Momma” in cursive. We discussed Denzel Washington’s best movies. I always leave my world of Little Italy full of pizza and happy to have had another good time. Just the other day, I went to a concert at the Georgia Theatre and after the show, I ran into Walter, my friend with the neck tattoo! He happened to close friends with the two musicians that just played and introduced me to them. That run in just confirmed my belief that pizza, music, and movies can really only lead to good things in life.
