Emily Friedman

I am an Assistant Professor of English at Auburn University. My work on eighteenth-century women writers, influence, the novel and theatre, and other issues has appeared in Eighteenth-Century Novel, Studies in English Literature 1500-1900 (SEL), The Burney Journal, and other books and journals. My current book project examines the cultural history of smell and how we can recover olfactory traces from eighteenth-century fiction.
