Enjoy the outdoors
I'm an American with Swiss born heritage leading tours for English speaking people to and through Switzerland during my 25+ year tourism marketing professional career. Today you can see the full day and half day tours on www.echo-trails.com where Trip Advisor rates ECHO Trails as the # 1 Tours company in Lucerne.
My goal is to continue to build my network of people in America and other English speaking countries who wish or have travelled to Switzerland. Please feel free to ad me here or on my www.facebook.com/echotrailsLucerne page. I regularly post photo's and updates of my Swiss hike and bike tours.
My purpose is to be a resource for you in Switzerland. Today I am an Ambassador for the 2013 World Tourism Forum Lucerne www.wtflucerne.org where global leaders in the travel and tourism industry meet the next generation.
I've lived in Palo Alto, Mt. View, Cupertino, San Jose CA, Middletown, CT, Tallahassee, FL, Alpharetta, GA and relocated to Lucerne, Switzerland in 2010 because this is the "Adventure Gateway" to Switzerland. Now a Swiss Certified hiking guide, my mission in life is to share Switzerland's ecology, culture, heritage and outdoors, hence ECHO Trails, with English speaking visitors who seek that "outdoor-first-hand- experience" place. You can find me doing day hike and bike tours departing from the Swiss Lucerne train station.
I started taking Americans to Europe when I was a Trans World Airlines, Sr. Sales Rep in Zurich and Account Manager based in Hartford, CT. Later in my career I represented various Swiss destinations and Swiss transportation companies in the USA and became a Swiss tourism specialist, leading many travel industry Exec's such as the President's of the United States Tour Operator Association to Switzerland. I even was on the CNN Travel show. Along the way I became a Charter Class “Certified Tour Planner” during a year long program conducted by the US National Tour Association.
Based in Atlanta I started organizing “Trip Planner” trips to my tourism client destinations and in 2009 started organizing and guiding trips to Switzerland for the Atlanta and Southeast Area Ski Club Councils.
2010 was also the year the Adventure Travel Trade Association held their “Annual Summit” in Scotland and I linked up with the “MySwitzerland.com, the Swiss national tourist office and coordinated a post-trip hiking and biking program to Switzerland.
