Eleanor Chownsmith

My work is connected to the translation of human movement and how it is reflective of the human condition. Though I have worked in painting, sculpture, sound, performance art and film, I am currently interested in exploring Interactive Media Art. This mediom is providing me with a new and challenging language in which to continue my exploration of movement. Through Interactive Intelligence Systems I found an alternative way to articulate the questions that I have about what it is to be human, and what it is to be an artist, in the digital era. It is undeniable that our use of technology is rapidly reducing physical contact, and it is the psychological and physiological implications of this is what I want to explore through my work.
