Eva Christoffel

Raleigh, NC

My name is Eva Indiana Christoffel but I have always gone by my middle name, Indiana. I am nineteen years old, a hard worker, dedicated, and strive to be all I can be. I am currently a second semester sophomore at North Carolina Central University where I am an Elementary Education major with a concentration in Math. I attended East Carolina University for a year and a half where I began as a Nursing major. After a semester I realized Nursing was not for me and that I wanted to fufill my dream of helping children be the best students that they can be. After I came to this realization I changed my major to Elementary Education.

I attended T. C. Roberson High School in Asheville, NC where I was born and raised. I graduated in May of 2011. My greatest influence for becoming a teacher was a class I took in high school called Peer Tutoring where I worked with students with a wide variety of disabilites. The Peer Tutoring class strongly encouraged me to become a teacher in order help all students be the best students possible. I chose Elementary Education over Special Education because I wanted to be able to help a wider range of students. In High school I also took nursing classes that enabled me to get my Certified Nursing Assisatnce License (CNA). In high school I also worked at a grocery store for a few months then changed to work a more enjoyable job at a pet store. After moving and living in Greenville, North Carolina for a year and a half, while I attended East Carolina University, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. I have now lived in Raleigh, North Carolina for about six months where I am continuing my dream by finishing my education at North Carolina Central University. In my spare time, when im not working or studying, I like to hangout with my friends and family, cook, and create crafts.
