EcoPunk Media is…well…me, Bobby Loyd. A trail runner, environmental sciences fanatic, urban homesteader, father, husband, and passionate outdoorsman. I am both a curiously minded creative and analytical data hound; persistent and meticulous when approaching topics that sparks my imagination, and wildly passionate about the world I love to explore.

This is not your typical environmental news outlet filled with doom and gloom reporting; I go behind and beyond the sensation to present realities. I explore solutions for every problem rather than problems within every solution. I seek to educate through entertainment and serious discussion.

My love for the natural world came from my love for trail running and the beauty I found along the path. The desire to know more about the things around me lead to a degree in environmental science, an undertaking that left me with as many questions as it had produced answers.

It is because of these questions and what I saw as a lack of objective reporting that I set about pursuing the answers to what remained. I feel that there is nothing more dangerous to the health of our world than confusion. Clearing these muddy waters is necessary if we are to make informed decisions leading to tangible results.

That is why I am devoted to bringing creative content that captures your attention and imagination, presents real people taking real action based on hard science, and providing boots-on-the-ground information that gives you the ability to make up yourmind on where to go next!
