Ed is a high school math and Computer Science teacher whose passions are teaching, technology, and travelling across the globe during his summers off.

He grew up in Earlimart, CA and attended UCLA where he earned my B.S. in Math/Applied Science and a Minor in Computing. Before he became a teacher, Ed was a Software Consultant in the Bay Area for 3 years.

Ed has taught math and technology for over 12 years in Tulare County in Central California. He's also taught a pre-service CSET Math Prep course for 8 years and thoroughly enjoys helping passionate people enter the greatest profession in the world.

He was recently recognized as an Outstanding Educator by Central Valley CUE for his success integrating technology in the math classroom and creating an extremely innovative learning space for his students. He's presented at many CVCUE, Fall CUE, National CUE, Google Summits, and CUE Rockstar Teacher Camps.

He currently serves on the board of directors for Global Exploration for Educators Organization(GEEO), a non-profit organization that promotes teacher travel as a means of introducing global lesson plans into the classroom. Along with serving on the board of directors for the Central Valley CUE affiliate, CVCUE, Ed serves on the board of directors for the Central Valley Coding Project, whose goal is to bring exposure, awareness, education, and training to students and schools in the central valley of California.

Ed is a huge advocate for the empowerment of one's self through education, specifically Math, Technology, and Computer Science education. Next year, he will be teaching math and computer science for Orosi High School and helping to build a K-12 Computer Science curriculum plan for their district.

Ed's mission is to improve the learning experiences and create opportunities for his students that will assist them in becoming responsible Global Digital Citizens.
