Erin D. Cauchi

Erin is a freelance multimedia journalist currently producing Al Jazeera America's hourly newscast in New York City. Before, she worked at Al Jazeera English's geopolitical program Empire and AOL's Patch. Erin was also part of the BBC News team in Washington, D.C. She holds a Master of Science from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.

She has held a variety of media positions at a biweekly newspaper, weekly and monthly magazines, and a daily newswire.

Before attending Columbia, Erin was President, CEO and Publisher of Canadian University Press (North America's largest national student press cooperative) where she oversaw all editorial, advertising and managerial divisions of the multimillion dollar corporation.

Erin is a stringer with the New York Times. Her writing, photos, videos and infographics have appeared in a variety of outlets, including BBC News, New York Magazine, and TIME Magazine.
