In 2019, New York–based private equity firm Eden Capital acquired PDH Academy to scale the business through organic and inorganic growth.

In January 2022, education industry veteran Nader Qaimari was appointed CEO to lead a broader transformation of the company. Under his leadership, PDH Academy rebranded as Edcetera in April 2022 to reflect its expanded scope and vertical focus.
