Recruiter, business owner, and Project Manager in London, United Kingdom
I was born Edem “Eddie” Emmanuel Ephraim in London, England on October, 10th 1993 to Nigerian and Ugandan parents.
In late 2005 I attended Bethany School in Kent and from 2010 attended Clayesmore School in Dorset. Subsequently, attended Middlesex University from 2013, completed a year placement in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates and graduated in 2017 with 1st class honors in International Business.
After graduating in 2017 is when my corporate journey started and I worked for several recruitment agencies this lead to working for a wealth management company in Vietnam in the year 2018.
When returned back to the United Kingdom in 2019, I worked as an internal recruitment advisor in human resources and in the year 2020 I started my first business.
Melodee was my first self-funded startup, lots of learnings and achievements were made startup born out of the lockdown period.
The business was an instant platform for users that made contacting available performers easy with requests of personalised videos and booking live video calls.
Highlights over the years:
- We got featured in a documentary in South Korea, and got featured on other platforms through podcasts and news articles
- Grew the platform to 500+ performers
- Established B2B partnerships
As I started to develop the business, I realised there was another opportunity closer to my background, Melodee was closed down in 2023.
Currently, I am the founder & CEO of Orgupdate which offers an all-in-one data dashboard, for real-time job vacancies. All our global data is instant and sourced from publicly available information to create stunning visuals. This platform is best suited for recruitment, workforce planning, market intelligence, benchmarking, research and insights departments.
