Eddie Mabanglo

Graduate of Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale, Eddie has already developed a strong background in both basketball and communications. He discovered his love for the game through a Christian youth league called "Upward" when he was 6.

Eddie played at Upward (where his father announced) for 9 years before becoming an assistant coach for grades 3/4. Throughout junior high, Eddie was involved in Ridgetop's broadcasting program that covered the school's sports teams and other current events. He took these skills with him to high school, where he became the public address announcer for both the boys and girls junior varsity basketball teams.

In addition to basketball, Eddie also has a love for music, that's anything from playing trumpet in his school's pep band to spontaneous beat-boxing sessions with his friends. To this day, his classmates will tell you how much he loves to announce various NBA lineups into the bell of his horn. Humor like this is what helps him keep his sanity during his life as a teenager. Eddie has just moved to the Washington, DC area from Silverdale.
