After being over 300 pounds for most of my adult life, I decided to make a change. At age 54, I began to walk 25 miles a week and cut back on food and dropped 110 pounds in 16 months. I eventually became a runner and have run in over 30 races in 12 states including the Chicago Marathon. I wrote about my experience hoping to encourage others in a book called "All My Strength."
