Eddie Williams III is winner of two Peabody Awards (the broadcast industry's highest honor), a DuPont Award, Emmy winner, and five-time Emmy nominee. He is a 25-year news veteran of print, broadcast and film mediums. The career of the award-winning journalist includes stints with Newsweek, NBC, Fox, The Weather Channel, CNN, Al Jazeera America and currently AL Jazeera English in Doha, Qatar .
He also operates his own documentary production company, Third Time Productions.
He lives and works in New York City.
Williams was Producer of the documentary "America The Beautiful 2: The Thin Commandments", the brainchild of Executive Producer Darryl Roberts, distributed by Time Warner Digital. He also was Director/Producer of "Educating Black Males" for Al Jazeera English cable network.
Williams is also a former national board member of The Ida B. Wells Foundation, an organization founded to honor efforts to hire minorities in media jobs.
Broadcast experience includes stops in New Orleans, Kansas City, Topeka, Chicago, Atlanta and Lake Charles, Louisiana where Williams' worked as executive producer, producer, segment producer, reporter, news and sports anchor, photographer, editor and assignments editor.
In the print field, Williams worked as managing editor, government reporter, general assignment reporter, editorial writer, and copy editor for a Louisiana bi-weekly and a daily publication.
