Hello,
My name is Eli Deeth but online a lot of my friends call me opke11. At the moment I am studying at SAE University so that someday I can become a great programmer.
I have wanted to make games since I was 12. The first game I ever wanted to make was a puzzle game, where you and your pet frog went on adventures together. The game included no special mechanics or puzzle design, just a very weird storyline.
The first game I made was a plat former where you controlled a tank and would have to fight your way through a group of enemies. My main problem with that game was the fact that it was created with no code. So it was impossible to do more advanced design.
Some of my funniest experiments with game design were when I attended a traineeship when I was 16. In this traineeship I was taught basic JavaScript, 3d modelling, 2d art, animation, sound design. This traineeship and year 12 was when I really started learning code. When I was looking for a university course to apply for I already knew all the basic different components that went into making a game. In the end I choose programming because even if you're the best 3d modeller in the world you can't turn that into a good game without code.
