My name is Edel Myers, and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I am IACP registered. I hold a BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (Level 8) from IICP college. I have 10+ years working within the mental health field. I am also a qualified adult trainer and experienced facilitator. I enjoy mindfulness practices and believe that they can be very helpful in the therapy room to increase our awareness of the thoughts, feelings, and actions that may hinder our progress. I am based in Drogheda, Co. Louth.
Integrative counselling draws on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you. It offers a powerful and flexible approach to addressing each client's complex and unique needs. I will provide a private, confidential, respectful, compassionate, safe space for you to openly talk about your thoughts, feelings and difficulties without any fear of judgement.

Services:
- One to one face to face sessions
- I would recommend 6 sessions minimum to build a relationship, there are no max number of sessions.
- Sessions are 50 minutes long.

Experience:
SOSAD Ireland
I am a volunteer counsellor with SOSAD in Drogheda, Co. Louth and see clients who are struggling with suicidal ideation, self-harming, depression, bereavement, stress and anxiety, or if they simply need to talk.
ISPCC Childline
I previously worked with ISPCC Childline as a Call Facilitator and then as the Northeast Regional Supervisor of Childline listening services, Teentext and Missing Children's Hotline.
