Artist Profile: Eden Martin
Eden Martin is a French-Canadian artist based in the Kootenays. Raised in Osoyoos and Montreal, Eden has lived in British Columbia most of her adult life and gains inspiration from both urban and rural settings. After displaying her work in Montreal and Vancouver, Eden travelled and worked abroad, landing a contract to display her work in Munich during the early 2000’s. Shortly after her return to Canada, Eden began collaborating in mixed media performances with musicians, painting to musical accompaniment in studios, health centres and at community events both at home and in the US. Since 2009, Eden has worked independently in the beautiful surroundings of Nelson, having sold her original art pieces at local Kootenay craft fairs.
