Enrolled at Imperial College in London, Edesiri Ibru is presently studying in the Master of Science program in metal and energy finance. Ms. Ibru earned a Master of Engineering with a specialization in petroleum engineering in 2001. Recognized for her leadership skills, she was elected four consecutive years by engineering peers to serve as a student representative liaison to the school administration. In this role, she worked to resolve student issues with school policies. Ms. Ibru is a member of the Royal School of Mines Association.

Edesiri Ibru previously served as Executive Director of Destiny Dredgers International Limited in Lagos, Nigeria. Responsible for implementing a new corporate culture, she provided oversight for the Administration and Services Department as well as the Human Resources and Legal Department. Ms. Ibru also possesses extensive project management experience in banking and in upstream petroleum analysis. She holds certification in PRINCE 2, a project management methodology.
