Edgar Baculi is the Canadian Artist of Filipino descent inspired by painting faces and maps as an exercise in empathy.

Using acrylic paint or highlighters, Edgar maps figures of humanity and the locations they are connected to. Like maps, people are layers of messages, with all the potential to guide the way. His thoughts dwell in GIS layers, satellite images and fauvism when creating. It should be no surprise that Edgar's love of maps had driven him to earn degrees in GIS, and a spatial data centred career prior to pursuing art.
