Good Morning All,

My name is Edgar Hernandez. I just recently started my journey back into education with this being my second class. I found myself feeling very intimidated of starting my education back up, but with the support of family, friends and fellow classmates it has become a little less.

I served 11 years in the United States Airforce as a Jet Engine Mechanic, where is served 4 years in the England and the rest of my time in the Panhandle of Florida. After my separation, I had to adjust to my new life and began working as a subcontractor on the same base where I separated from, doing the same job just on a different aircraft. I was fortunate enough to get hired by Pratt and Whitney, which is an aircraft engine company in 2017. My current job is to teach other mechanics, whether foreign or domestic military, on how to perform proper maintenance on the engine. This job, along with the military, has given me the opportunity to travel to many different countries that I would have never dreamed about. I am married with 2 teenage girls and have 3 fur babies.

My current Educational Goal is to attain Bachelors in Business Leadership so that I can attain my Professional Goal of becoming the Manager of Propulsion Training for the company within the next 10 years.
