Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Moved to New York in the early 60s. Where I lived for about 14 years before moving to Europe and travel extensively for 10 years working teaching English, Spanish & Dance (primarily Jazz Dance and ocasionally Ballroom Dance in different countries. After my return to the US I started working as an interpreter for the Courts, Doctors and Attorneys for the last 20 years. Now it is time to go and visit the countries that I have not yet visited and although some people may think that my plan is crazy because I am 72 years old I think it important to follow your dreams and desires and leave everything to fate setting aside your fears and insecurities. The idea is mainly to write a book about the previous travels seeing and recording what changes have the countries I visited before gone though, after all, 30 years is a long time and the changes must be many.
Originally there was a picture of beautiful lake Atitlan and what you see in the background know is a piece that took me over a year to complete. It has a nice story behind it.
I had just moved to Sao Paulo, Brasil from Buenos Aires Argentina and had rented an apartment completely unfurnished and during one of my travels in Portugal a lady who was one of my friend's mother had taught me how to do the basic crochet stitch. So, I figured that just using that stitch I would be able to make a round rug for my new apartment and I did make it but not knowing how the process of counting stitches works what came out was a huge round thing that would not lay flat on the floor of the living room and I proceeded to nail it on the floor. It looks good I thought but I had not taken into account that because of the color of the yarn would probably look disgustingly dirty in a very short time so I took it up and after unravelling it I ended up with a bunch of balls of yarn of considerable sizes. This being my first endevour in the type of thing
