At a very early age, I discovered my passion for languages. Being a native speaker of Spanish, my first linguistic crush was English. But as I studied English translation at university, I got to know French. Oh, well... I guess I'm in an open relationship with both of them now. I had a fling with Japanese and I must admit that I find both Italian and Portuguese very attractive, too.
I have been working as a freelance English-Spanish translator for over ten years, and as a French teacher for eight years now. I also got to teach Spanish as a foreign language for one year and I have a blog about the Rioplatense Spanish variety. I love helping others communicate, either through the translation process, by rendering a text –and a culture– into a different language, or through teaching, by providing people with the necessary tools to develop their own linguistic skills.
I am also interested in academic research and I'm part of a research group that looks into language use and interaction in computer-mediated environments.
I love travelling. I love nature. I love exploring. I love meeting new people. And I want to improve my cooking skills, too. All recipes are welcome.
