Edgar Fierro

I was born and raised in Escondido, California and recently moved to Georgia about three years ago. The transition was devastating and like many I have a story that can be shared. When I moved I lost myself. It wasn't until my attendance to the University of Georgia that I came across a realization of the acceptance of one's self. "Don't limit yourself by telling others what you're not; tell them what you are." Colin Wright. Colin Wright's quote has helped me to discover my unique place in this world. Today I can proudly declare that I am Mexican-American, as both my parents hail from Chihuahua, Mexico. I'm fluent in both Spanish and English and have two younger brothers idolizing all my movements to success. They were not as fortunate to enjoy a father who shared his wisdom and compassion, even for a little while, like I was. I took the leadership role of my father for a long time and taught them my experiences. I love them and will do anything to see them succeed. Eventhough my parents divorced, it has not stopped me from enjoying a million laughs. I'm always with a smile on my face and its hard for anyone to turn it upside down. All of my favorite shows, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, My Wife and Kids and The Office, have jokes that will make you laugh for days. I also enjoy anything that gets my adrenaline pumping. I have always wanted to go sky diving and pursue my new obsession; get a motorcycle. I'm still young and haven't really figured out what I want to do as a career. I have recently became interested in forensic pathology, but who knows what other fascinating experiences can come my way and change my thoughts? Life is a mystery and opportunities are endless.
