Dr. Edgar Lampkin has extensive experience as a school principal with a number of California school districts. Following his time as the director of English Learner Services and Instruction Services for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade with the Yolo County Office of Education, he took his current position as a California school district superintendent. In this capacity, Dr. Edgar Lampkin serves as both a secretary for the school board and chief executive of the district. His primary responsibilities as superintendent include ensuring all educational services and administrative functions are in alignment with the school site’s SSPA (Single Schools Plan for Achievement) and district LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) goals, actions, and services, as well as state and federal guidelines. Other responsibilities range from construction and modernization of school facilities, running a fiscally solvent budget, securing grant money, guiding curriculum development and implementation, including the development and implementation of career and college readiness pathways and A-G dual enrollment courses.

Dr. Lampkin graduated from California State University, Chico in 1986, with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a bilingual emphasis. He continued his education at CSU Sacramento, earning his Master of Arts in Educational Administration in 1994. He then earned his Doctor of Education on International Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco in 2006.
